The Kentucky Infrastructure Authority presented several loans and grant reallocations: a ~$9.89M loan for City of London wastewater plant expansion (5 MGD to 7 MGD), $378,000 for Jamestown intake rehabilitation, a $2.04M increase for Nicholasville transmission main, and a $3M loan for Northern Kentucky Water District lead service line replacements affecting roughly 238 households (about 200 with expected lead services); the commission approved the items.

After public comment urging strong opposition, the Madison Heights City Council voted to adopt a resolution formally opposing the Great Lakes Water Authority's proposed fiscal-year 2027 wholesale water and sewer charges (presented as an average 6.83% increase) and agreed to forward the resolution to GLWA's board and state legislators.

City staff said roughly 3,200 lead service lines remain citywide and that the proposed $5 million bonding would cover about 500 replacements; the city manager also said a separate $1.6 million award tied to local projects may have been reassigned by the state and broader state budget cuts could reduce Bay City’s street funding.

The board adopted ordinance 2026-008, authorizing a $1.5 million New Jersey I-Bank loan for the Winchester Avenue water-main replacement and introduced ordinances 2026-009 and 2026-010 to raise water and sewer flat fees by $35 and $40 respectively to fund lead-service line replacements over the next 5–10 years.
