I guess it turns out that US leadership culture is nothing more than three insipid clichés in a trench coat.

Car culture is the result of a failure of imagination and leadership.
READ: “3,337 Parisians were equipped with GPS trackers to record their journeys…for journeys from the outskirts of Paris to the center, the number of cyclists now far exceeds the number of motorists, a huge change from just 5 years ago.”

Evidence of leadership.

HEGSETH: It's very difficult to change the culture of a department that has been destroyed by the wrong perspectives

HOULAHAN: So you think General George destroyed a culture?

HEGSETH: We need new leadership

HOULAHAN: You have no way of explaining why you fired him

I can pretty much post this every week after each new death where there remains zero accountability for any of the agents or their supervisors. Lowered standards, unqualified people, rushed through shortened training, toxic culture & leadership, lots of weapons. A perfect storm.

Congress must address Kristi Noem's failed leadership, up to and including impeachment. But that alone is insufficient.

The entire chain of command who have enabled a culture of murder must face justice.

This is why this is not just about Max Miller. It’s about “devout Christian” House Republican leadership who is standing with this guy because they crave power above all else. It’s the culture of MAGA and it comes straight from Trump. Vote them out.

Obviously a great culture/leadership guy, but I think Pete’s proven strengths also align with a couple of the Raiders’ needs: Shepherding a young QB and fixing the pass defense.

Breaking: Pete Carroll and the Raiders have reached an agreement on a three-year deal with a fourth-year team option to make him the team's head coach, sources tell Adam Schefter.

I think this helps explain both why the Dem leadership is so lost right now and why the base is so incensed.

Politics has shape-shifted from policy to culture, and after decades of internalizing the idea that they must run away from left culture, the Dem leadership is petrified of embracing it.

Andy Burnham says that "eradicating the insidious briefing culture" in politics will be central to his leadership of the Labour party.

Make a note of that one

I will be writing about this and how it fits into the free speech culture/cancel culture debate.

If anyone has intel on the identity of the actual humans who are the leadership/web gurus/etc of the Illini Republicans, please drop a line.
Although the article unequivocally shows the Illini Republicans are bigoted edgelords, it also demonstrates they are weak cowards, unwilling to support their words and scuttling like cockroaches when light is shone on them.
University of Illinois college republicans advocate for executing protesters as “traitors” with art that takes a disturbing killing and makes it even more extreme.

The military doesn't need a new culture. It needs leadership who understand and appreciate its culture.
Pentagon Firings Have Nothing to Do With ‘Culture’
The U.S. military’s culture doesn’t need radical change—and if it did, this wouldn’t be the way to go about it.

Instead of a government of humble and public-spirited officials, we see a leadership marked by arrogance and narcissism. Instead of a culture of truth-seeking, we live in a civic milieu dominated by a cynical, credulous, cultish political movement fueled by lies.

A culture that tolerates rape doesn't arise in a vacuum. This is an indictment of CBP leadership.

Correct. (Word counts etc.)

It is also hard to overstate how much the establishment democrats and leadership were and are aligned with technology. The SV culture, the money, and the theory of mind — they are enamored with it.
The only thing I'd add to @tressiemcphd.bsky.social's fine work this morning is that the establishment Dems have an ideological blind spot around organizing. They overindex on capital-intensive forms of mobilization and are completely lost when it comes to labor-intensive forms of mobilization.

Business culture and American society in general needs less management and more leadership. That sounds kind of trite and dumb but management culture in my experience is really geared around *making the manager look good to their bosses* which is actually cancer to the overall organization.

As your State rep., @ginafortexas.bsky.social has been focused on the quality of life for all Texans. It’s about your life, not culture wars. share.google/Fvly7UnGMtae...

brain baked on X, by an increasingly isolated and poisonous Labour leadership culture, and of course by Belphegor, the demon who lives in the basement of Home Office headquarters and possesses every new minister.
Donald Trump's team like having a pop at "white liberals" and…sure, why not, for them.

It coming from a Labour home secretary really was an absolutely amazing "who do you actually think votes for you???" moment

Decades and decades of a national policy and zeitgeist that amounts to 'nobody needs to care about social studies' and we're now in an unwinnable war with a foreign country whose culture and leadership we did not understand based around geography we ignored. 🤷‍♂️
Been considering starting to teach and drill my 5th graders on basic map locations, even though nobody gives a shit about social studies.
Grading maps and it is distressing how many of my students cannot put Persis (the ancient region), despite us covering its geography in class and also, you know, us currently being at war there and the region still having basically the same name.

Following the killings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minnesota, "Commander at Large" Gregory Bovino was reassigned away from his leadership role in the operation.

Journalist Amanda Moore notes the violent culture and widespread fear he helped create won't be so easily removed.

Pete Hegseth’s arrogance in the face of the worst national security lapse in the last decade is dangerous. He lies, dodges accountability, & sets a culture of recklessness.

Leadership starts at the top. Under Hegseth, DoD would rot from within.

He. Must. Go.
