#FedericoFellini’s “La Dolce Vita” was the biggest foreign-film, box-office smash hit in U.S. history when I was a junior at St. Mary’s in 1961. But I couldn’t see it because I had taken the annual #LegionOfDecency oath, vowing not to see any films that the church had condemned.
