It's so fucking weird that LeonB in Resident Evil 2 has a cutscene reliant on whether you killed the alligator in ClaireA by wasting a ton of ammo or just blew it up with the canister when you have a 50/50 chance if the player will even see it.

Only just now finished LeonA/ClaireB for the first time in OG RE2! Thought I had previously!
IMO ClaireA/LeonB is the more narratively satisfying route, since you have Sherry infected, Birkin is Claire's boss, and Leon gets Ada's rocket.
The only missing thing is Marvin's interactions with Leon.

Only just now finished LeonA/ClaireB for the first time in OG RE2! Thought I had previously!
IMO ClaireA/LeonB is the more narratively satisfying route, since you have Sherry infected, Birkin is Claire's boss, and Leon gets Ada's rocket.

finished all 4 scenarios of RE2 (did LeonA/ClaireB on Normal, and ClaireA/LeonB on Hard), and gosh it was really fun
RPD on Hard is incredibly challenging, might be my favorite Resident Evil gameplay experience so far, you have to be incredibly smart with your ressources through the whole game

Go for it! That's the cool thing about RE2, you can play ClaireA/LeonB and then LeonA/ClaireB and get different storybeats in every playthrough 😊

I finished Resident Evil 2 (PS1, 1998) a few days ago and there were so many moments where I thought "Why the hell wasn't THIS in the remake?"
The quality is a bit unbalanced though.
ClaireA/LeonB is a much better game than LeonA/ClaireB and I wonder how many people never bothered with it
