Morning MJ &all. Had a fun day yesterday. Went to Mesilla with hubby, son #2 & his MIL. Love that drive up Hiway28. The Rio Grande was bone dry. Very telling. Surprised at how few vendors were in the plaza. Usually wall to wall.

I agree with La Nueva Casita and Si Señor, I like those places; they're good choices if you want distinctly regional cuisine.I would also consider Paisano Cafe; the patio there has a great view. Salud! de Mesilla and Lescombes are very good restaurants, but less distinctively regional.

Kept watching the sky as we neared the soccer fields, paid our $5 parking as the first drops hit, then waited as our 2:30 game was impossible as 3:30 teams showed up, only to be rained out too.
