One of my favorite resources for teaching is @lessonpix.bsky.social. It makes it easy to make materials for ALL my students. I also love that the images are not perfect and feel very human-made. Even when I don't use LessonPix directly, they inspire me to use my own drawings sometimes.

Kids and learners deserve high-quality images to help them communicate and make sense of the world. But what makes LessonPix high-quality is not the perfection of the art, but rather the way the art is reflective of specific lived human experiences.

A picture cards page from lessonpix. These are nice simple illustrations to be used in activities and things like speech devices for children with disabilities. I find it to be a charming and sometimes funny style

I took old school postcards & I printed a picture of myself and the Comic Sans onto them. Now I have "personalized" postcards to send to students. (The image of me was an artist commission. The laptop image is from LessonPix.)

Real "graphic design is my passion" vibes (positive I think).

One of the AAC class assignments for my SLP students is to use Global Symbols or LessonPix to create a board with some symbols. The object is the mechanics of getting the symbols on the board, so no topic is specified. First time I’ve seen one about Twilight, though! 😂
