Couldn’t agree more with @frankcottrellboyce.bsky.social on this. Let’s invest in libraries for children this year, as we mark the 175th anniversary of the Public Libraries Act. #Librarieschangelives www.theguardian.com/books/2025/j...

I am working out of a public library and there are a good number of people who seem to be on hard times using the facilities for various reasons like job searching, entertainment, charging peripherals, using the bathroom, etc., and I am struck by how important it is that libraries continue to exist

For content I always recommend the public library. Your library may even loan readers (tablets, laptops) so you can try out different types and then decide what to purchase. #LibrariesRock

Yes libraries are the best @thefairybear.bsky.social Great things like cake pans, ukuleles, seeds, gardening equipment, WiFi hotspots, telescopes and bird watching kits to checkout. Get out and see what your public library offers.

Libraries are the best. I just placed holds on 17 books of crochet patterns and stitches 😌

This is your reminder that libraries are a great place to find resources for hobbies - some even have beginner kits (like yarn, needles/hooks) you can take out to get started!

Shout out to all the librarians and teachers putting books into kids hands. I’ll never know about it but I know you’re doing it and it means everything to me. You are the reason I’ll become some kid’s favorite author 😭

Great customer and community service. #SupportPublicLibraries #LibrariesChangeLives
Wanted to read a book last month but the library didn't have it. I requested that they procure it. Now they have it and I'm the first person to check it out. Yay library!

And there is usually a form for this very purpose on the library's website. Probably called something like Request a Purchase. #LibrariesChangeLives
#SupportLibraries
If you want to read a new book coming out but don't want to buy it, a great thing you can do is ask your local library to order it. The more requests they get, the more likely they are to acquire it and then lots of people will get to read it who othewise wouldn't.
