If you’d told me that the keys to unlocking my next’s book’s structure would be from a book deftly incorporating slash fanfic interludes & a book about human skin bindings… well, in retrospect it isn’t THAT surprising. But many thanks to @De_Kosnik & @LibraryatNight regardless!

And now it’s time to finish _Dark Archives: A Librarian’s Investigation Into the Science and History of Books Bound in Human Skin_ before #BookishBookClub meets with @LibraryatNight!

I always knew this was a book about people — authors we could find, the traces of the ones we can’t, & the many people (including my student-collaborators) who worked alongside me in describing these works. Thanks to @LibraryatNight I have a model for what that can look like.

Handful of people on my list who would get a kick out of this. But, overall, not a good way to win/keep friends! https://x.com/LibraryatNight/status/676104454798573568
