I gave them dinner out of their lickmats tonight instead of their bowls and good God, have they made carnage out of that situation

But at least they're marginally more stimulated

Meanwhile Bertram has discovered he can pick the lickmats up and carry them around. So he's been doing that.

Not the ones with food in. The clean ones. I don't know if he's communicating that he wants more or if he likes how the rubber feels, but he keeps taking clean ones off the shelf

Got some frozen yogurt for the kitties :) also picked up a kurgo seatbelt and some doggy peanut butter for lickmats

It’s so interesting to have dogs with such different needs and sensitivity too. Kaia loves a good foraging toy she can swing around while Neos needs his kibbles loosely hidden in a thin blanket. She loves lickmats, he needs an easy, plane surface to lick from.

And they are absolutely fucking devastated that they just watched me make their lickmats and then didnt immediately hand them over. Theyve never had them frozen before and they just think i've made them and taken them away for no reason

The worst part about a fast growing puppy is trying to keep weight on him 😭 I'm a little careful about pics I post bc he looks like an ASPCA commercial rn 😔 he's eating the max recommended amount of food today, it's high protein and high calorie (proplan) on top of lickmats/frozen treats

The poor kitties! And poor you! The kitties will survive and be so happy to see the lickmats in the morning.

Those lickmats are glorious. I had to get one to slow my dog down and stop her from throwing up because she ate too fast, and it has worked out greatly.

Prepping some frozen lickmats, toppls, and some water bottle ice cubes for qizzles. Just some PB, vanilla yogurt, apple sauce, and soaked kibble. Topped with a banana pb cookie from our local dog cookie company, Wet Noses!

Bc i stupidly thought that just because we frustratedly asked our postman to deliver to our local post office if they wouldnt deliver to our flat that they might be arsed to do that

So for now i've just set up 2 lickmats with churu treats and put them in the freezer for their breakfast at 8

moos loves inhaling food as a kitten so i gave his kibble after a few seconds soak in water so itd soften up, and switched him to mostly wet food on lickmats. i think he rushes his own food so he can get to muis’ when he finished 🤦‍♀️

Remy doesn't seem to eat from a bowl, and I don't know if that's because I mostly feed him via kongs/lickmats/training so he just doesn't register the bowl as a place he can eat from, or if he doesn't like the bowls for another reason 🤔

I think there's just a lot more boutique pet stores here by virtue of size 😂 hmmm hopefully you can find something that works!! Lickmats are the hardest things to buy fr, maybe a slow feeder for small dogs would work 🤔 trouts plastic one is a nightmare to clean though ngl

seasonal changeovers ,a good brushing probs wouldnt go amiss

if human has long hair: dont groom ur own long hairs onto surfaces they walk on.

We have all of the essentials for the puppy i do want to get more of a variety of toys so far we have some rubber chew toys, chuckit balls, puzzles, lickmats, and a pupsicle which is a good bit but there's so many types of toys I wanna make sure he has what he likes
