Not all NPR stories are like this...

I have twice been interviewed by an NPR affiliate station in Virginia.

The best approach is to keep reaching out to NPR and their local reporters, to advocate for new balanced stories.

My daughter's ghost bike in New York City was pictured twice in this story.
In NYC, Cycling Deaths Increase But Gears Turn Slowly On Safety Measures
A recent surge in cyclist deaths in NYC has called into question whether cities are taking the necessary steps to keep cyclists safe. Cities are adapting but cyclists say not quickly enough.

I deleted so many posts here. Closed tab. Reopened. Considered emailing LifeKit@npr.org But, really, mourn Malaka, mourn, but give him a break. He doesn't want to die of something avoidable. Who does? Ask about his risk calculus and see if he thinks a meal inside a quiet restaurant is worth it. Ha.

This @npr.org article is beyond disappointing with its victim-blaming angle. Even when vulnerable road users do all these things, the ultimate responsibility lies w/the person operating the vehicle. Pls provide feedback to NPR
