Trialling a use of Lightrooms’ “super resolution“ - not too bad all considering (bird was a dot on the original Raw file)

I developed two rolls of Kentmere 400 film tonight. Every shot turned out great! Some folks have said it's "flat" and the midtones overtake it all. Nonsense. Using the Curves in ACR or Lightrooms does the job and intensifies the highlights and blacks really well. Fave stock, by far! #beliveinfilm

Some verticals from Teignmouth, taken last month. I am not good at processing 😅 I swear Lightrooms colour profile is messing with me, some of them are so saturated! #photography #sonyalpha

Adobe Lightrooms new AI 'Assisted Culling'... yep, it sounds as bad as it is!
Would you let the AI decide which photographs from your widest edit are the keepers?

Mrs P and I just back from London.
Visited the Bowie Archive at the V&A Museum and The Immersive Bowie experience at the Lightrooms titled 'You're Not Alone'.
I can thouroughly recommend both if anyone's hunting for things to do in London😁

There’s a moment like that in Moonwalkers, the installation at The Lightrooms in London for the next few weeks. The whole thing is great but when we get to the landing, there’s a beat where Hanks mentions Mission Control. Then you can somehow hear him smile and lean over kn the voiceover

Great to meet up with @corticalpete.bsky.social for a flying visit to the Lightrooms to catch the new Chris Riley Moonwalkers film. Such a great venue to check out, such gorgeous Apollo footage

Hi @matthew-ds9.bsky.social
Though you might like to see some pics from me and Mrs P's latest trip to London.
Visited the V&A museum to see the Bowie archive where it is on permanent display, then an immersive Bowie show in the Lightrooms Kings Cross. No pics from this unfortunately.

Have you booked to go to the Bowie immersive film at The Lightrooms? If not try to fit it in, it’s a glorious 45 minute experience with incredible sound and vision. Seen what I did there? 😉

The HSL panel in Lightroom is really good for this kind of thing--changing the saturation and/or brightness of a color based on what you want to do. You can use it to affect the whole image or just a mask. This guy has great tutorial videos for LR with much better info. than I can fit in a comment!

Well I'm glad you're recovered! Winter can be really drab but there is always something there to photograph! Especially eagles in the winter.
I've been using Afinity photo 2 mostly because of Lightrooms subscription model, I don't need anymore monthly subscriptions! 😆

Pretty great. It's better than when I last used it. It's a bit more work to do spot removal but it's better than Lightrooms is (well, when I last used it). I really just have to get used to the different way of things because it is quite different, but so far I've found everything I need.

Talking to some random photographers last night when out taking photos of owls. All commenting about how high we needed the ISO and how noisy these photos will be. We all (almost at the same time) said we're thankful for Lightrooms AI Denoise and it's the ONLY good use of AI. Good people :)

Testing RawTherapee on Ubuntu. Just looking at lightroom replacements to maybe get rid of that subscription and save a few dollars. DarkTable seems a bit too complicated for me.
Auto exposure seems a bit too much for me, but honestly I find lightrooms auto exposure looks over exposed to me too.
