so story time with linuxnerd, I was actually primed to join the armed forces last year. I can’t even begin to imagine where I’d be now. I genuinely feel like I dodged a bullet, unfortunately.
See from the executive order: Consistent with the military mission and longstanding DoD policy, expressing a false “gender identity” divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service. Beyond the hormonal and surgical medical interventions involved, adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life. A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member.

I’m getting into Linux. Working with Debian made me curious so I converted a gaming PC to Bazzite. Which just made me want more so it became Mint Linux. Then last night I distro-hopped. Straight to Arch. Their installer is a shell and ‘Here’s the wiki, good luck!’ That was fun. #linuxnerd
