Freeform overshot. I invented the use of freeform twill to “draw” motifs like this scallop. Weaving with tabby enmeshes the twill pattern weft in plain weave that provides fabric stability. With a pick up stick anyone can create much more complex designs than people with very expensive dobby looms 🌀
