Small Flame, Large Shadow
Some nights, courage is a small fist held up to a very large shadow.

A small, doll-like figure stands with feet apart on frayed woven mats inside a weathered wooden room. Its pale, rounded head has two broad ears extending sideways, a short dark stem on top, large black oval eyes, muted pink cheeks, and a tiny downturned mouth. It wears a textured purple robe tied with a dark green sash, cloth hand wraps, and sandals. On the left side of the image, its raised fist is surrounded by a luminous blue flame that curls upward in translucent ribbons. Its other fist rests near its waist. Behind the figure, an enormous creature-like shadow spreads across a warm amber wall. The silhouette has pointed projections around its head, two bright openings resembling eyes, and broad limbs stretching outward and down. At left, blue light filters through a wooden grid door with large, ragged holes in its paper panels. Another framed paper panel borders the right side, with several slender poles leaning near the floor. Cool cyan light catches the figure’s face, clothing, and the uneven mat edges, contrasting with the orange glow behind the looming shadow. The detailed fabric, rough wood, and rounded character give the scene the appearance of a miniature animated set. I was waiting for them to finish my car repair. This cat came in through the bays and walked right up to me without hesitation. I'm not a huge cat person either, though I have had them. He sat there at my foot the entire time. #Catlove #felinemagic #littleguardian
