Yesterday I was in Littlehampton meeting friends. It's not far from Brighton but in over 12 years I have not visited. I knew of the East Beach Cafe which I was surprised to find shuttered up at 2.30pm. I discovered other curvy structures on the promenade, mostly part of one long bench.

The story of the Littlehamption poison pen letters has been adapted into a comedy drama. I've never been able to afford Christopher Hilliard's pricy book but how events played out in life reveals a lot about British attitudes. Hopefully the film will too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eofb...
