D&D is a very specific kind of fantasy, much weird than High Fantasy. There's numerous lizardfolk and space hamsters and psionics. Also everybody pays in gold for some reason.

Overlord III

Dis one got da cool OP everyone knows.

Might be getting burnt out on this. I do know what I'm watching, it's giving me what it said it would. Still had some moments I enjoyed but those were "Ainz did not think this was going to happen and now he has to act like he did."
Through a horse rejecting her everyone finds out Albedo is a virgin. I recall people saying that the LNs are better at showing Ainz has no idea what he's doing so it reads less as just the power fantasy the anime is and more a dude stumbling around hoping he looks cool so wonder how much the exhaustion is that. Might just be more we keep getting introduced to new people for Ainz to put through Nazarick's meat grinder and something about them just is never as engaging as the lizardfolk from Season 2. They did the whole character's siblings talk about how they can't wait for them to come back when we know they're dead and my first response was "I don't care about any of you." The goblin village was kinda fun though, especially with the funny bullshit of how they got out of the mess they were in the middle of the season to the point we jsut started shouting random types of military/fantasy/sci-fi weapons because IT KEPT HAPPENING.

These are the kinds of things I love including, in tabletop games or comics or any other worldbuilding

Lizardfolk based on an obligate carnivore? Can't taste sweet, misses out on a lot of the fun of honey, mead, and barbecue

Day 8: Goldclaw

Cheat day; just wanted to try some posing today

Prince Mirajah Dune Goldclaw hated his royal lifestyle; living in a family of corrupt nobles and monarchs. Working with Ivo the lizardfolk, they emptied the treasury to give to slum inhabitants instead; the first of many great heists!

Typical lizardfolk self defense firearms are basically just slam guns, old world guns are WAAAY too expensive and unreliable and powder guns take too much time to load and fire.

I present my lucky lizard🍀🦎✨
A front and back full body reference of an orange and blue Lizardfolk with bright red and orange feathers from the orange head down to the base of the long blue tail, shown on the left. The back side reference on the right shows a glowing golden upper back tattoo, also depicted in the upper center. It also depicts a view of the flesh beneath the tail, which is a light purple. Below the wings shows a closeup of the maw, tongue and eyes, most of which are varying shades of blue. A reference image of an orange and blue feathered lizardfolk dressed in four different outfits. Upper left is black and green, teal and navy wrap and skirt look. Upper right is a dark green and deep violet vested and trouser look. Lower left is an all black high slit dress and wedged heels look. Lower right is a primarily pink and light blue halter top, bell bottoms and high heels heart printed look. All four feature accessories made of gold, copper, and silver somewhere on her neck, wrists, lower jaw, and tail. Throughout the image are different items and weapons: a wooden sparrow, golden saxophone, glowing mace, purple wooden wand, black dragon fang greatsword, winter themed buckler shield, black dragon tail whip, burgundy fire poker, pink and tan bracelet and crossbow, healing arrows, squeaky mouse, and bottle of decorated tequila.

#WIPSnips 8. “Lizard”

I had “lizard,” but I couldn’t resist sharing a snippet from Syzoth’s short story and the introduction to the lizardfolk (and chameleonfolk) of #ChroniclesOfTheRealms.

If you want to read the first chapter: archiveofourown.org/works/899387....

#Syzoth #WriteSky #QueerWriters
Syzoth shook his head. “You speak of ancient fables, mother. They will not save my hatchling.” Not that he truly believed his child needed saving. But the longer they spent in the egg, the higher the chance it would crack into a lifeless hatchling. In every batch, that terrible fate befell at least one offspring. Too weak to leave the egg, the tribe would say. But his child was not weak; could not be, not when they inherited the scales of two of the mightiest saeriiss in the tribe. They would come out, alive and strong and proud! His mother regarded the eggs with an expression edging on sadness. “Perhaps our greatest mistake was leaving that which you call fables in the past.” With the claw of her forefinger, she drew an invisible symbol in the air. A long, intertwined snake, Syzoth recognised, though he wished he didn’t. She turned to leave, but at the alcove’s entrance, she spoke again. “These gods some of ours pray to may have scales, but they did not give us ours. They may yet take them from us, though. You may not see the world the way I do, but I know that, in your heart, you feel it, too. You became saorossi not only for your strength, which is great, but also for your vision, which is even greater, if you allow it to be. The question then remains, scale of my scale: where will your vision take our tribe? Our people?”

I got 2 more older sketches, 1 of an overly eager & flirtatious looking Lizardfolk woman (yes that's a woman), & the 2nd one, of a concept art sketch of a Pastella series sexy robot hairless werewolf woman.
An older sketch of a curvy, muscular, big bootied Lizardfolk woman who looks overly flirtatious, & possibly overly eager to mate. Older concept sketch of a hairless, sexy werewolf gynoid unit named Pastella

Yeah definitely. My current list of inspirations is a polynesian group of lizardfolk, who etch their scales, a bit like the traditional tattoo culture
