I like the fact that, having read a biography of Beethoven, Schulz found the phrase “Lobkowitz stopped his annuity” really funny, and was even more delighted that he managed to work it into a strip.

This does open the possibility of a Peter Jackson 9-hour movie, Beethoven recording his late piano sonatas at Abbey Road.

Jiří Lobkowitz o tom píše podle mě dobře. Chyba to je, ale PPP kolem toho nedělá trapné tanečky a nesnaží se to hodit na kdekoho jiného. Řekl, že je to chyba v plánování, omluvil se, a to je prostě fair přístup. Reálně tím pravděpodobně v Černoučku k žádné kalamitní situaci nedojde.

The links to Beethoven go further: he studied with Albrechstberger and Salieri who also gave lessons to Ludwig, and became Kapellmeister to Prince Lobkowitz, dedicatee of the Eroica Symphony. This splendid symphony (one of four) mixes the Haydn and Mozart's influence with a foretaste of Schubert.

The Palais Lobkowitz can be visited in Vienna. In the famous „Eroica-Saal" the premiere of Nr. 3 took place on June 9, 1804.
