Assessor Dave Divas briefed the commission on a slate of draft bills under consideration in the revenue committee, including proposals to change assessment rates, eliminate the separate valuation of land and improvements, and implement an acquisition/value-on-transfer approach he said would be difficult to implement locally.

The Elections, Finance and Government Operations Committee voted 11–1 to approve House File 2614 as amended and referred it to the Housing Committee. The bill would prevent cities and counties from requiring amenities that effectively force the creation of homeowners associations, proponents said.

The Senate Transportation & Energy Committee moved HB1420 to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation after testimony from industry, aviation and local-government witnesses who said federal FAA/FCC approvals and supply-chain delays make the existing compliance timeline impractical.
