First flax flowers today. Not great to coincide w the heat dome, but hopefully most flowering will be in the cooler weather that's on its way.

There are some great fibreshed projects making #LocalLinen - like @taprootfibrelab.bsky.social in NS and a group of textile artists I met in Victoria BC a few years back. I still think the waste fibre from growing flaxseed on the Prairies (it's tow length) could be mixed with wool for spinning.
