Hier vor Ort: Ich kenne keinen einzigen Menschen im fränkischen Städtchen, der gleichfalls die Feldsperlinge vermisst. Seit zwei Jahren keinen Feldsperling mehr gesehen!

Moments later, the red-backed shrike disappears into the hedge, where its young are waiting for their evening snack.

Ein großer Laufkäfer abgewandt, nach halbrechts blickend, auf sandigem Boden mit welkem Blatt und ein paar grün sprießenden Grashalmen (Weg am Waldrand). Das Tier zeigt irisierende Flügeldecken (rote und grüne Farbtöne dominieren) und einen schwarz glänzenden und wohl auch etwas indigofarben schillernden Halsschild. Das deutet darauf hin, dass es sich um einen Großen Puppenräuber handelt.
