The essence of Frankl and Logotherapy!

I brought this up because I’m currently reading Man’s Search for Meaning and Logotherapy has such a similar message, also such an incredible book

Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl, author of *Man's Search for Meaning*, founded logotherapy. His experiences proved that human well-being and enduring harsh conditions depend on discovering a deep, purposeful meaning to live for.

I’ve been drawn to some unique “therapies” lately - bibliotherapy and logotherapy, literally “book” therapy and meaning therapy (coined by Viktor Frankl)

Starting up my second course in working towards my Academic Associate in Logo-philosophy through the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy so expect lots of nuggets!

In practice, I applied Viktor Frankl’s concept of logotherapy. See “Man’s Search for Meaning.”
His conviction: that the primary human drive is not pleasure, but what the individual finds meaningful.

May we endure the coming days & years of sturm und drang by making our moments mean something good.
“To live in times of seemingly radical change is never easy, but it helps to remember that living at the threshold of a new era is neither unprecedented nor necessarily apocalyptic – that some of our ancestors felt profound dislocation but nonetheless persevered.”

The past, an enduring guide to the future
To navigate the uncertainty of 2025, historians should sift through the archives. By returning to the sources, we can make sense of our own tumultuous time.

"Psychothymiac" _ I originally heard psychothermiac (thermals for one's Psyche) (spelling), aka psychotherapy, is what I read about that Victor Frankl wrote about as LOGOTHERAPY, i.e., it's simply talk therapy.

made the mistake of mentioning concentration camp resistance in the context of Victor Frankl, logotherapy, and existential psychology and now there's grad students out there reading Serafinski 😬

Luckily we were able to see one quite quickly, and even luckier, a diagnosis was reached without much back and forth. Initially, the standard therapies were prescribed. Ergotherapy, Logotherapy and Physiotrherapy were tried. 2/n

Great thread on Frankl's logotherapy. Logos referring to meaning as in meaningful. Insightful and amusing. She has a bunch of threads like this.
The world’s on fire and it burns like a mother fucker, so now’s as good a time as any to get stoned and get philosophical on yo ass about suffering.

Core Premises Of Suffering:
1) Life’s a bitch.
2) Then you die.
3) We can at least try our hardest during the in-between part.

Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Feankl is so far the only self-help book (if it even can be described as one) I'd recommend to everyone whether you're doing fine or struggling. I'm surprised logotherapy is not widely practiced.

Frankl was a huge influence on my life. Logotherapy, the precise to CBT.
