The pièce de résistance of Loiterfest. 🌲🛹 Tucked away in the woods off the Bruce Trail, this abandoned DIY skate park is easily one of Hamilton’s coolest local secrets. #Loiterfest (1/2)

A total escape from current restaurant trends. Outside, a quiet, liminal Burlington strip mall. Inside, a rich, wood-paneled time capsule complete with white tablecloths, maximalist decor, and quite possibly the world’s largest pepper grinders. #Loiterfest #Napoleons

Main Billiards Lounge in Hamilton’s Delta sits perfectly suspended-in-time. 🎱 Between the endless rows of green felt and the quiet, tiled hallways in its ‘backrooms’ basement, it’s a true liminal space—and the perfect spot for a Loiterfest break. #HamOnt

Loiterfest really looks it took you places.

I left the Loiterfest folks at the pool hall for a bit to walk The Hammer’s Delta East. Known for its pre-1960s Craftsman homes and quiet, tree-lined streets, it’s along the main strips where you really feel the pulse. #HamOnt (1/2)

The ultimate Niagara Falls paradox… 🍩🍜 Country Fresh Donuts lives in the ultimate in-between: a classic doughnut shop that quietly became a legendary wonton soup destination. Yes, some are just here for a cruller, but most come for the handmade wontons. #Loiterfest

Old-school storefronts, faded brick, and wide sidewalks feel perfectly suspended in time. While still a bit rough around the edges, this unpretentious pocket of the lower city is rich in history—including Canada’s first traffic light—and poised for the future with the coming LRT. #Loiterfest (2/2)

The Living Water Wayside Chapel in NOTL is a 6.7 m marvel recognized as Canada’s smallest chapel. Despite its tiny interior—which holds just 4 short pews for up to 6 people—this fully functional church still hosts weddings and has celebrated Easter sunrise services for over five decades. #LoiterFest

An unassuming address with no grand name—just 2446 Cawthra Road in Mississauga’s Dixie neighbourhood. 🏭 #Loiterfest (1/2)

Walking through it today, there is something striking about the contrast between its simple, functional design and the maximalist tenants inside. It remains mostly unassuming—yet it quietly set the blueprint for ethnic malls across North America. #Loiterfest (2/3)

Every time I think I know Toronto, #Loiterfest points out something wild. This vine-draped tower in Agincourt has sealed openings and castle-like windows that make it look straight out of a horror set, but it’s really just a surviving farm silo in a suburban park.

But let’s just say the ‘dive bar’ vibe is a little too literal here. It’s actually dirty—not ‘cool dive bar’ dirty—two stools almost gave out on me, the beer selection is rough, and I still don’t get the ‘death row’ theme. #Loiterfest (2/3)

What are we even doing here? Well, exploring downtown Oshawa, naturally. #Loiterfest #DowntownOshawa (1/2)

Boarded a mystery school bus in Toronto and ended up in a Mississauga basement with a bowling alley, a pizza warmer, and a dozen saints watching my every move. #Loiterfest 🍕🙏 (1/2)

Today, the peeling paint and graffiti are the only things left fighting for space. #Loiterfest (3/3)

Walking through these overgrown, graffiti-covered ruins feels like stepping out of time—a quiet, eerie echo of the past slowly being reclaimed by nature. #Loiterfest (2/2)

Between Highway 427 and Kipling Station lie the backrooms of Etobicoke. These are the unseen spaces—the service roads, faded storefronts, and gritty corners where the city catches its breath. (1/2)

It was part of Loiterfest. I don’t think it is publicly accessible per se.

Oh? Loiterfest. This is new to me. I'm guessing its already passed?

I do love to loiter.

Next week, we're returning to Etobicoke to close out Liminal Assembly's Loiterfest.

Dinner at the base of an office tower.

A walk past a dead mall.

Karaoke at a prison-themed bar.

It all kicks off Sept 30 at Kipling Station

Next Sunday I will be hosting a tour around a unique part of Etobicoke as part of Liminal Assembly’s Loiterfest. Would love to see you there. wygo.world/etobicoke-th...
