As to where to spend subsidies, longhaul container traffic out of ports dumps a lot of diesel exhaust into poor areas around ports and is easy to regulate & incentivize since ports are focused areas. For other longhaul, roadside rest area chargers are focused locations to subsidize chargers.

Is it just me or are international #airtravel #longhaul flights becoming a total pain in the arse? Flights cancelled 2/12 in advance, then last minute cancellation at the airport, delayed flight risking our connection, worse seats due to rescheduling. Similar story on a prior trip. How about you?
