So part of the story here is that Lopburi has always had a ton of monkeys, it’s day trip from Bangkok and had been a tourist destination. Tourists often fed the monkeys but that collapsed during the pandemic. The monkeys have since been wrecking havoc on Lopburi.

Over 100 long-tailed macaques broke out of an enclosure at the Lopburi Municipality Animal Nursery in Pho Kao Ton subdistrict in central Thailand, but were recaptured a few days later. 🐒

- paddling upstream, easy thanks to the rising tide (yep, tidal influence that far inland)
- houseboats
- riparian gardens
- a stork colony!
- a water hyacinth plug so no Lopburi river
A fine paddle. :)
