This afternoon, @archbishopofyork.org visited @whalleyabbey.bsky.social, our centre for Christian prayer and discipleship.
It was a joy to welcome him to this ancient site of worship, spending time with the Abbey staff and praying community

Students from St Christopher’s C.E. High School, St Aidan’s C.E. Primary School, and St George’s Primary had a fantastic time exploring The Lord’s Prayer with @archbishopofyork.org and @bpblackburn.bsky.social!

This morning, as part of my visit to East Yorkshire for the #LordsPrayerTour, it was great to meet with students and staff at Bishop Burton College, and to see their Animal Management Centre and Centre for Creative Studies. #faithinthenorth

We joined them for collective worship, and Archbishop Stephen spoke to the pupils about the Lord’s Prayer and answered their thoughtful questions. A huge thank you to the staff and students for such a warm and generous welcome!

Archbishop Stephen @www.archbishopofyork.org, Bishop David @bishmanchester.bsky.social, Bishop Mark, and those gathered learned more about how this choral music project, in collaboration with St Martin-in-the-Fields, supports the ministry of our parishes.

The day concluded with a wonderful evening gathering at Manchester Cathedral, where we came together to explore how the Lord’s Prayer teaches us not only how to pray, but how to live. It was an inspiring end to a truly memorable day.
