The House of Lords as it is now is far from perfect, of course. I think Lordship is ridiculous, and of course members there have their own party biases. This is imperfect. But we do very much need an extra layer who can overrule Parliament, in order to protect the best interest of the country

I'm reading a book where a family moved from NYC to a rural house in Georgia. They pulled up to their new house and their cat immediately jumped out of the car and ran off and the mom was like, "Don't worry. He's just an outdoor cat now! He'll be fine." to her kid. I might have to stop reading it.
