I am at this stage where I’m almost more comfortable with someone outrightly disagrees with a position on a contentious matter, than someone who wibbles about, avoiding the difficult discussion. Lukewarmness achieves nothing.

I think these are both true, but I also think there’s a significant number of right-wing Labour members who are anti-EU and we forget this because they were cynical enough to use Corbyns supposed lukewarmness about the EU as a way to get him out.

this is definitely what I'm seeing in Germany--lukewarmness toward how AI can "benefit" filmmakers, steadily turning towards full acceptance. Creators don't even tend to mention the environmental or plagiarism issues, and when brought up, think of them as unfortunate but overall not that important
