People still ask me if I 3d print stuff and it's like yeah.
But I haven't really kept up or gotten anything new. We run an old Lulzbot mini and a prusa mk2.5s
I know there's better out there but I print for utility rather than art so it does what I want. I mostly print to solve problems.

Does your toilet seat block your light's motion sensor? Mine does...did. I 3D printed a base for a bathroom light to raise the motion sensor above the toilet seat.
A toilet paper roll would have worked too but I wouldn't be much of an artist if I did that? #lulzbot #3dfuel #3dprinting #practical

Does your toilet seat block your light's motion sensor? Mine does...did. I 3D printed a base for a bathroom light to raise the motion sensor above the toilet seat.

Not sticking around. Trying my hand at smoothing 3D printed layer lines with acrylic modeling paste. Fills in lines and sands nicely but doesn't seem to stick to the PLA too well. #lulzbot #3dfuel #3dprinted #yoroi #3dartist

3D printed this part in grey at a .01 layer height on a Lulzbot Workhorse to see how that affects the layer lines. Some blobs but pretty good otherwise.
The original, in black, was printed at a .25 layer height. The original was 1:1 and the test piece at 1:2. Both 3D printed in 3D Fuel Pro PLA +.

We had a fairly early lulzbot 3d printer and now watching our current one its so incredible. Like it’s so much faster and accounts for and calibrates to the vibrations it makes while printing it’s completely insane and so much fun to watch while a lil high

Becoming Iron Man. I'm pretty good at using an iron to clean up 3D printed edges but I still need to figure out my ideal temperature for flat areas. Oh well, even Tony Stark had a learning curve to becoming Iron Man. #lulzbot #3dfuel #3dprinted #liveandlearn #yoroi

Hello kitty knuckles by DuBDzO
was designed for a friend. the knuckles are opposite each other in order to allow the end user to place the items together. when you upload the stl. for somone it comes out huge. so attempt to scale it down to 3 and you should end up with the prints in the image. now looking at the image the blue one was printed on my type a machines series 1 version 2014, still working on the kinks that this printer has some how developed. and the purple one was printed on my lulzbot series 5 and its looks great. If for some reason you can't slice the file msg me and ill upload a gcode specific to your printer on my simplified 3d app.

and that's the part cooling duct done, with heavy inspiration from the Lulzbot M175
learned some new Blender tech with it too
will be kind of a pain to print because LPT001's bridging is a bit ass but it's doable i think, if not i'll split it in half or add some internal supports

If you were thinking Reuleaux Tetrahedron you're correct. IRL they're shaped like a pyramid but roll like a ball.

Not on anything decent after 2017. Prusa i3 MK3 has no threaded rod. Creality, Sovol, Sunlu, Tevo, etc all used extrusion frames for their i3s. MendelMax, Lulzbot, etc went extrusion very early on. Threaded rod Mendel's have way too much side to side movement.

Keepin' it together. My technique for welding 3D printed PLA parts? First, bevel the edges then, use a 3D pen to lay down a bead of PLA. Match the 3D printer's temperature and move slowly. #lulzbot #3dfuel #3dprinting #cosplay #sentai
