My extended view on cats is that "purebreds" shouldn't exist at all. Even in "ethical" breeding, the fact is most of these breeds shouldn't exist at all. The health issues they're susceptible to because of designer traits is gross. Maine Coons have hip issues because of their size. Lykois have skin

Maine coons have hip dysplasia, lykois have painful dermal cysts due to their weird hair genes, sphynxes are constantly cold, greasy and/or covered in eczema, Scottish folds are in constant pain due to joint laxity (same), breeding munchkins is just absurdly cruel for obvious reasons
