Cutting-edge PCs and laptops of the mid-2000s! I had an ageing Pentium IV desktop from early 2002 at the time and used to drool over the futuristic feeling XPS desktops.

The Pentium D was Intel's rushed effort to get in on dual-core and was pretty much 2 P4s glued together.

A full-page ad for the Dell XPS 700 for £1199. The case looks like two glossy smaller boxy cylinders stacked on top of each other and four blue LEDs on top. This particular iteration of the XPS 700 has Win XP, a 3ghz Pentium D, 1 gig of DD2 ram, 250GB HDD, and a free second graphics card, so 2 x 256 MB GeForce 7900GS. Pretty beefy stuff. An ad for Dell's XPS Laptop, the M1710. X-Men movies were still a hot thing so Wolverine's face scowls at you to the left of the page. This laptop has a Core Duo processor and a single Nvidia GPU.

so ya for hours and hours and hours this morning I was playing the original Farcry and at 1920x1200 on my dell XPS m1710+NVIDIA GeFORCE GO 7950 GTX and holy shit its really really really a unique experience and the visuals on that display are so so so gorgeous liek gaming on this thing is a TREAT
