but my fav Malayalam remains "if you see a snake in the yard, don't pick it up and put in your underpants" which basically means don't manufacture trouble for yourself, but is also delightfully earthy
there is a very rude and earthy saying in my mother tongue about people pretending to be slick but actually being very obvious, which goes: "when the buffalo lifts its tail you know what is coming."

We can talk in my mother tongue, if you prefer, Malayalam, but Id suspect a French person is unlikely to speak Malayalam.
Regrettably neither my French nor Arabic nor Tamil is up to a debate on the humanities infecting engineering education in France.

I love being lectured in English about the differences in power by a professor in a big university of an English-speaking American country.

Malayalam actioner RIFLE CLUB just dropped on Netflix. Beautifully shot, fast-paced, under 2 hours. Breezy 1st half; 3rd act devoted to siege of... well, a rifle club. Action could've been better but overall elegantly directed. Anurag Kashyap devours the screen as the antagonist.

Pretty much most of mainstream indian cinema nowadays (except Malayalam movies) is BJP aligned nationalism or cheap action. Both with terrible writing
so for Americans, this movie was basically agitprop from Modi-aligned filmmakers trying to shit on Kerala (one of the states that's run by the left in India) by trying to claim that radical islam was taking over the state and future generations but doing it in the form of fiction
