Morning visible imagery reveals #Typhoon #MANYI (#PepitoPH) seems to have recovered from its brush with Catanduanes Island—and it looks angry. Star = chaserdude location in Baler #Philippines. Still seems like a good spot. Typhoon is just a couple of hours away now.

Frustrating thing about Bluesky: no videos larger than 50 MB. They’re gonna need to up this if they want serious participation here from chaserdudes & others who make their living capturing video. In the meantime, enjoy my Super Typhoon MANYI clips on other platforms.

Hey hey from the Philippines. This is where I am in relation Cat-5 Super #Typhoon #MANYI. The star = current chaserdude location in Baler. There's a good chance I'm gonna need to adjust N or S in the early-morning hours, but for now this is a good staging location. Gonna be intense.

My data from Super Typhoon #MANYI. This location went through eye. Min 951.8 mb is higher than expected—however, what matters is *gradient*, & MANY-YI had one of steepest I've measured: 7.6 mb/n mi in back eyewall. That rivals other great cyclones I've measured, & it explains why it was so violent.

After an EWRC last night, #ManYi/#PepitoPH has restrengthened as it heads for Luzon. Eye temperature has increased to 15C meaning it likely still packs a punch
