It's actually super funny that Bryan Adams is so litigious about people sampling his songs and meanwhile Marijonas Mikutavičius has been performing obvious clones of them with new lyrics in Lithuanian to sold out stadiums of tens of thousands of people for decades.

So much other media about the oppressor vs the oppressed lacks this nuance. Bad Evil Oppressors vs Innocent Saintly Victims. It’s such a lazy route to take. Marijonas Giedrys and Saulius Šaltienis could have easily taken that route, but they didn’t, and it’s a more interesting story for it.
