We had a mission for this exact area of study. MAVEN. The science proves Elon wrong here, but he’s too <redacted> to understand it.
he's really so stupid and I can't stand it. if you warmed up mars and melted the water, the water would evaporate into space. Mars can't have a habitable atmosphere in its current state bc it has no magnetic field. solar winds strip away everything that isn't stuck to the surface.

NASA has finally confirmed that MAVEN is lost and not recoverable, months ago it emerged from behind Mars and a fragment of telemetry suggested it might be spinning fast. Not only was It doing good atmospheric science, it was a relay spacecraft for rovers on the surface.

On le savait depuis 6 mois mais maintenant c'est officiel, la mission MAVEN est terminée, les équipes n'ont pas pu reprendre contact avec la sonde martienne de la NASA (qui avait effectuée sa mission depuis longtemps et servait de précieux relai de communication)
