Happy to learn that MCDOT is finally building raised crosswalks - and agrees that raised crosswalks are not speed humps.
The McComas Neighborhood Greenway Project has added a new raised crosswalk at Kensington Heights Neighborhood Park and new speed humps on Drumm Ave to improve safety for people walking & biking near Wheaton Mall. In the near future, contractors will install permanent striping.

MCDOT: Pedestrians can wait to cross until there aren't any cars coming.
