I've been calling friends and family and asking them what prescriptions they're on and if they like them and now I just have to figure out how to send this $12K invoice for MedChecks to Doug Ford.
In 2022-23, $60m was paid out to pharmacies for MedChecks. Now we find that $62m was billed by Shoppers alone from Jan 23 - Mar 24, which was the time period pharmacists started blowing the whistle on pressuring to do MedChecks.
Shoppers Drug Mart (Loblaws) is stealing money from Ontario's health care system by forcing pharmacy staff to cold call people and then fraudulently bill medication reviews.
The Ministry of Health has long been aware of this, but they're still working on "improving" the program.

Today was a wierd one. I woke up feeling rough. Got nauseous around 2ish and took a nap. Now I'm wide awake and can't sleep, but I feel loads better! Prolly just gonna play an easy game and try to sleep a bit more before morning. Wish me luck #medchecks #hrt #mentalhealth
