today marks 25 years of mario fan games galaxy, a community that matters to me a lot
i found mfgg back in 2009. i was young, insecure, and very much still figuring out who i was. and it somehow became instrumental in who i am today, both as a developer and as a person

I wouldn't be at where I am right now without MFGG. That community gave me the foundation, the inspiration, and the confidence I needed to pursue game dev professionally, and for that, I'll forever be thankful.

Happy Mar10 day. to commemorate, here's a sketch of the very first OC I ever made, way back in 2006 on the MFGG forums. He would later go on to be the prototype of the Monnidic race in EOTW.
