i find it kinda funny how, by calling mortal kombat 2011 "mk9" we're basically saying MKvsDC is a canon main series game despite collectively agreeing it's ass

and like to his credit, some of the early guides and writeups on forums he'd do about the 3D era stuff, MKDA, MKvsDC, even Shaolin Monks, a lot of that could be very informative, though unfortunately coming with a side of unnecessary rage & invective while also being flat out wrong about some stuff

almost forgot; was recently asked which nrs/midway games i'd recommend trying aside from umk3 and i think this is about where i fall. there are not many of us 3D era defenders left but i have solid reasoning & im not just saying it to be contrarian

MKDA is immediately after MK4 so that's number 5
then there's deception—6
and armageddon—7
the only non-spinoff game between armageddon and mk2011 is... MKvsDC.

The TNA pick for MP is both legit and also just wanting to rep TNA since this is the only year you can do it, I may as well since I'm not really that fond of Mario Kart Wii or Smash Bros Brawl, and shockingly despite the fighting game resurgence I'm not close to SFIV, Blazbloo, or even MKvsDC.

Yeah CVS is like Nintendo vs Sega or Sony vs Microsoft level. Historical competitors clashing. CapMarvel is great but the “opposite number” combinations are minimal. Not as bad as MKvsDC which…what.

Same here. Horror characters like Jason don't feel very out of place in the game to me but then you have Omni-man lmao. There's also MKvsDC which iirc was made with the sole purpose of saving Midway and it failed.

Here's the planned I've been prepare for all Summer days:
Omen Survivors (working on Unity engine)
Omen Novel (a visual novel-styled story game)
Omen Quest (a turn-based RPG game that inspired by the legendary Sonny game series)
Omen Brawl (a MKvsDC-styled fighting game)

I will be looking at videos of MKvsDC, which is a game I actually did play a bit on PS3. So far I'm up to Deadly Alliance, which is miles better than 4. I did Konquest and Arcade mode as Kano, read the character bios, watched the endings and fatalities on YouTube.
