This appears to be the first televised singles bout between the two. Riddle and Dijak met in the ring several times on the indies and the NXT house show circuit in Florida. On the big stage of WWE, they only wrestled each other a handful of times in multi-man matches. This bout possess a big-fight appeal in the MLW universe. Riddle has been racking up wins against notable names, and he also has a world title shot in his pocket from winning Battle Riot. Dijak has been a wrecking machine of violence since his debut in MLW. The press release hypes the contest to frame the story that Dijak’s physicality could be so intense that the he might, “derail Riddle’s march to the title.” The implication is that Dijak could injure Riddle with his bare hands. One-Shot will stream live on the MLW YouTube channel on Thursday, December 5. Share your thoughts on Eric Bischoff booking Matt Riddle versus Donovan Dijak for MLW One-Shot.
