So I tested MMX2, Star Fox, Yoshi's Island, SMRPG, and a friend's MSU-1 hack, and they all work perfectly fine and as expected. The only "issue" is color smearing but that's been an issue on my TV using AV cables since forever anyway, so unrelated to the cart.
So everything's good, it seems :D

I remember this cover vividly, this was, iirc, the second issue of Nintendo Power that I was getting in the mail. The guide for MMX2 was very detailed, and it was one of the main factors that got me into the X Series as a whole.
Sorry, got busy and forgot last month’s @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social magazine. Here’s a belated look at February 1995’s issue of Nintendo Power, starring Mega Man X2

While I can't log-in for a few days on this site for some odd reason, I managed to beat "MegaMan X2" yesterday. Using the Shoryuken against Neo Sigma made the boss fight slightly easy. But overall, the game is a good follow-up to the first game. #MegaManX #MegaManX2 #MMX #MMX2

What video game(s) changed your life?
FF IV was a game that taught me stories you read can be amazing. It helped me learn reading more then anything school tried. Still dyslixic as hell.
MMX2 helped me to make a lot of friends. Talking about it to a stranger gave me courage to make friends.

Also the default difficulty is quite hard compared to MMx and MMx2. I would say it’s on par with MMx3 which I feel is the hardest game in the series.

No stream til Friday! Headed to NYC to see Book of Mormon, Hamilton, and Hadestown with the kiddo before she takes off to college.
Also…I finally badged MMX2. I spent entirely way too long on 0 Upgrade Sigma but then immediately did a deathless run to finish the set😅

In MMX2, depending on your choices, you either fight a mind controlled revived Zero OR Zero comes to save you from a fake. In X3 ALL he does is fight loyally by your side and POSSIBLY even gets severely wounded defending you. All of that and X lowkey thinking Maverick thoughts "I gotta end this bro"

MMX2 Zero Boss music would make this list for me, otherwise it is excellent. Spark Mandrill the GOAT.

Apparently we can have longer videos now, so I can finally upload this edit I made.
The backstory is I was talking to my best friend about how power metal is practically tailor made for Megaman X, and to prove this, I edited the intro to MMX2.
