The purpose of the MUP is to reduce consumption. If net profits have increased then it may suggest that consumption hasn't gone down as much as could. MUP should be increased.

MacAskill makes a fair point here though I'd suggest another approach.

Seeing the announcement of the NCC "Aqueduct District" (aka stadium) and all I can think is that the north side Albert MUP is going to be closed for years, isn't it? (Given the experience with the new library build and all).

MUP isn’t a deterrent, addicts will find the money, but the MUP profits could be used to help prevent folk getting into a messy spiral of maladaptive self-medication.
And when folk have that prescient moment, when they ask for help.. it has to be there.

Yep, would take the river MUP to Frobisher, then go left to connect to the designated bike/foot shared sidewalk/MUP that runs alongside Hospital Link Road to circle around the back side of the General campus.

Oxford has some tactical bumpouts with flex posts already. I would like to see a tactical 2-way cycle track (like parts of Brunswick) on the west side so that people can connect from the MUP on Coburg to the one on Beaufort Ave without having to cross back and forth.

I go Almon through Westmount to the bayers Rd mup, across the rail bridge via sidewalk and then up under the overpass
