I always ride on the street or MUPs, though US cycling infrastructure will often do weird things like terminate MUPs directly into separated sidewalks making it unavoidable at least for short periods.
Also there are cops who will force you to ride on sidewalks which is nuts but there you go.

And most states many municipalities already have laws about bikes. No sidewalks and no Class III ebikes on bike paths/MUPs is pretty common.

Active infrastructure doesn't have to be complex or costly. Simple solutions like separated multi-use paths (MUPs), can make cities more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

All in all, a lot of conversation for tiny 5 minute increments :)
And much complimenting of the mups with Vico, Con and Kristian all playing with them (someone joked "stop playing with yourself"😂)

Imho (being generally a walker on bcc MUPs) the MUPs need to be twinned to create a cycling lane; lots of room for this and if they do it right it can be cleared all winter and leave current MUP for skiing, etc
