Cloud vs home Mac cluster, the actual break-even:
Single M3 Ultra 256 GB ($6K) amortizes to ~$103/mo over 3 years. Match Groq Llama 70B at $0.59/M: ~175M tokens/mo. At 20 tok/s the Mac produces 1.5B/mo.
A $40K 4-cluster needs 20B tokens/year. That gap is 20x.

Buyback service tiers on a Mac in 2026:
Generalists (Gazelle, Decluttr, BuyBackWorld) pay 10-40% above Apple Trade In.
Specialists (SellMac, OWC, ItsWorthMore) pay 20-40% above.
Specialists win on Mac Studio and high-spec Pros; generalists are fine on Air and base mini.

Bei JFC musste ich grade sehr grinsen! 😁
