I'm so deep in my Death Becomes Her hyperfixation that this is just MadHel to me.

Also I know there isn't a fandom for that here but I'm trying to not use the facist bird app, so Imma need you all to get on board.

this is *social housing* that offers a higher quality of life than market rate housing in the US can deliver, due to our archaic and anomalous building codes.

also note increased privacy v. US multifamily housing

i know politicians don't want to hear it - but if you actually want more family sized homes, the answer isn't increased FAR - it's legalizing taller point access blocks, and not limiting the number of instances per lot.

i mean look at this compared to typical 3-bedroom in the US. our housing doesn't 'live' this well. you're lucky if there is even day light on more than one side. double loaded corridors are substantially deeper w/ K/D/L perpendicular to facade instead of parallel

madeline ashton (resembling obc megan hilty) and helen sharp (resembling obc jennifer simard) laying together in the grass amidst many blue flowers, madeline holding helen’s face with a soft, doting expression on her face. helen’s eyes are closed, but she pulls madeline closer. helen has a sprig of blue flowers - forget me nots - behind her ear. someone has finally remembered she is there and perhaps had never stopped thinking of it

a painting inspired by The Kiss (Klimt), featuring (musicalverse’s) Death Becomes Her characters Helen Sharp (L) and Madeline Ashton (R). they are in a pose similar to The Kiss, framed with a nouveau-flavored border resembling both botanicals and vertebrae. Helen wears forget me nots in her hair, Madeline wears heliotropes and a daffodil, and the bottom of the painting is decorated with asphodel. Both women are loosely serving as each other’s light source here.

just you and me, both damned to be

#madhel #deathbecomesher #dbh #art #illustration
a painting, candlelit and rose-toned, of (musicalverse’s) Death Becomes Her characters Madeline Ashton (L) and Helen Sharp (R). The illustration is a fairly close-cropped shot of both of them, Madeline with prominent vampire teeth, satisfied and heavy-lidded as she nestles her chin against Helen’s shoulder, one hand curling around to gently pull Helen’s shrug-robe away from her shoulder, exposing bare skin. Helen, featuring a few bloody bite marks on the top of her breast, neck, and shoulder, is leaning back into Madeline’s embrace, their cheeks touching as Helen turns to look at Madeline, expression darkened and a bit slack. Behind them is a window, dark and blue, speckled with rain. No one will disturb them tonight

an illustration of Helen Sharp and Madeline Ashton from Death Becomes Her (musical edition). It is in sepia, and Helen is holding a softly smiling Madeline’s head gently in her hands, pressing her lips to Madeline’s forehead.

‘til the stars fade away in an endless night

#deathbecomesher #madhel #dbh #yuri #art
a painting in warm sunset pinks and purples and reds, featuring two women (one in a blueish draped dress with a lowcut back, with blonde hair, fair skin; styled to resemble Megan Hilty in the OBC role of Madeline Ashton) (one in a red lowcut dress and mantle, with red hair, fair skin; styled to resemble Jenn Simard in the OBC role of Helen Sharp) kissing and awash in light. Helen sits and Madeline’s hands are on Helen’s hips, tugging her lightly closer. Above them twinkle stars in the constellations of Leo and Taurus

an illustration of madeline and helen from death becomes her (musical), ersatz and dark-lit, madeline covered in lipstick stains and smears in a state of dishevelment, helen confident and completely in control with one hand pushing past madeline’s jacket, one hand cupping her throat. madeline makes sure her wedding ring — trophy of her hunt — is always visible, though

come give this a taste

#deathbecomesher #dbh #madhel #art #wlw
a close up (!) gloomy + warm-lit illustration of Madeline (L, blonde woman with fair skin and purple eyeshadow/clothing) being embraced by Helen (R, red haired woman with fair skin, a low cut red dress, and pointed ears/fangs). Helen has one hand under Madeline’s hair at the base of her head, and the other hand bloodied and poised to cup the side of her throat. Madeline’s throat is very bloody and has clearly been bitten by Helen, who has blood staining her lips and dripping from her chin. Both women appear quite pleased with their circumstances, smiling, eyes closed or heavy-lidded 😌

a dark illustration of madeline and helen from death becomes her, in a pose referencing a d&g 2006 photoshoot. helen holds a knife (modeled after the dagger in the dbh movie) at madeline’s throat, drawing a trickle of blood. madeline stays still, holding the potion bottle from both movie and show, at a triumphant helen’s mercy.
