Before apps, MagicBands, RFID chips, or even biometrics, there was ink. Disney used to mark guests’ hands with a rubber stamp to prove they could re-enter the park! Who else remembers riding Fantasyland dark rides or Haunted Mansion excitedly watching the UV stamps glow in the black light?

Half of what makes it work well in Florida is the integration with and widespread use of MagicBands. That’s what makes it easy and automatic for rides like Buzz, Mansion, Pirates, etc. with no post-show space and too many people to display as you exit.

magicbands at disneyland are useless but if they have a dedicated AP line with magicband only I will 100% use one every time

* specifically how the server would have implemented the missions on the backend. I do actually know how the (old) mission selection works from a guest perspective - hondo's preflight briefing reads magicbands and tries to pick the mission the crew has done least. There's just only one mission...

I think they realize MagicBands aren’t gonna happen at Disneyland and they’ve lost enthusiasm. DLR doesn’t have the benefits of years and years of giving them out for free to build a user base, and got the “chicken-egg” order wrong by introducing bands with no flashy infrastructure to use them.

I think they realize MagicBands aren’t gonna happen at Disneyland and they’ve lost enthusiasm. DLR doesn’t have the benefits of years and years of giving them out for free to build a user base, and got the “chicken-egg” order wrong by introducing bands with no flashy infrastructure to use them.
Inevitably in any move there are two things you don’t think you will need immediately that will disappear into a black hole.
For me and our recent move to PA, this is my backup printer ink and my Disney World MagicBands. I’ve touched every box. Where did they GO?!?
