Trying to figure out if I like SPY-27 more then CPM-110V or shorter bladed magnacut for EDC carry- mostly opening boxes and cutting up apples.
I've already figured out I don't like K390 and M4; they stain too easy, even tough they stay sharp for a realllly long time.

1: nitinol was actually a useful blade material
2: strider’s heat treatments didnt suck (58hrc magnacut in 2026 ishygddt)
3: carbon fiber didnt activate my autistic texture sensitivity
4: it wasnt like $1400
aside from that it seems cool

My favorite knife maker is Moki of Japan, while my usual carry is a Swiss Army knife. For nice knives I generally like tough stainless or semi-stainless steels—Magnacut, 3V, 14C28—though I would defer to the maker if they disagreed.
