Went for a wander up to the old mountain park and tennis courts my friends and I used to hang around in the late 80s. The last thirty years of neglect are starting to show, frankly.

Looking for something seasonal in the files, I found this, No 4942 Maindy Hall approaching Radipole Halt on 29 December 1962 with a Weymouth to Westbury train. Though she made it to Barry, she was not restored. No 4942 became a donor loco, providing many parts for new build No 2999 Lady of Legend.
