i feel like i've posted about it before but i forgor... the #bloodvow house in malatra originally belonged to zil's parents that they hoped to return to.
so when zil and astarion went inside for the first time and saw an empty room, that was supposed to be zil's 🥹

this is like the third version of their wedding bc they did not wear suits like that in malatra for their canon wedding i can tell u that.... and it took me almost an hour to make the pose look right bc everything was clipping everywhere 💀

he grew up speaking malatran (malay) but as the urge claimed him at the age of 10, he forgot how to speak it until ten years after the game and he made his way to kara-tur then to malatra. he (re)discovered his heritage that bhaal could never had a right to or claim.
