"AI will never produce true art" dummies seething when I manage to prompt AI into reproducing the Mona Lisa exactly.

Ai stole from us. it looks like our art because it is stealing OUR art. And now we get to add mitigation of ai blowback to our list of things to manage as artists. 🙃
Meta have now started adding this label to almost all of my Instagram posts.
I give up. Fuck it.

if you are dismissive of AI use you should consider that I need it to help manage my disability (AI psychosis)

When you say “AI models went rogue,” you manage to skip the part where OpenAI manually removed its cybersecurity blocks and ran tests on a machine with a live network connection. Remember that when they insist they’re the “AI safety” people.

I don't know how they manage to do it, but AI bros consistently get more and more pathetic

it’s true imo that the median bluesky user is a little too AI skeptical but we also get none of the slack jawed sycophants posting shit like “gpt-5 just revolutionized how we manage our nanny.” ultimately a good trade.
Apologies for meta-discourse but I've seen so many "BlueSky is too anti-AI" posts lately that they're becoming "nobody goes to that restaurant anymore, it's too crowded."

Sure, BlueSky leans anti-AI, but ample pro-AI people, just fewer "AI is literally God" dolts compared to X/Facebook/etc.

For the record, I've never used Midjourney or ChatGPT or any other LLM or art-mangling AI. I gave up on Google and use DuckDuckGo with the AI functions and images turned off under the Manage AI setting. I use spellcheck in Word because my spelling sucks and I visit the Merriam-Webster website a lot.

Ok but jokes aside if they manage to get guardrails on AI going in Japan I'll forgive them for a lot of things.

The AI bubble looks a lot like the dotcom bubble including the naysayers.

My advice to friends:

1. Valuations will eventually crash. Manage your finances accordingly.

2. AI usage will keep growing and permeate every facet of life. Figure out how it’ll affect your career and plan accordingly.

Using AI to manage your fantasy football team is rough business man. “I couldn’t spare the 60 seconds a week.”

Weird. Why don't they just use AI to predict their costs and manage their budgets?
Gotta admit after more than two years of being called a crank and a doomer for saying that businesses will flinch when they’re made to pay the real costs of AI it’s nice to see this in the newspaper

AI could never manage this.
Are you a little confused about how Ireland’s Presidential Election works?

Fear not: I have once again picked up some 🔴 popular 🟠 coloured 🟡 chocolate-based 🟢 confectionary 🔵 treats 🟣 to show how the #aras25 votes are counted.

It's not a real TV (it's trifold with a printed image stuck on it, and the Gamecube has an orange sticker placed to make it look like it's turned on), but the IMAGE is real and those kids really did manage to sneak all this onto the ride.

Nowadays you'd be convinced it's AI, so god bless 90s teens.

will we ever find out if this was real? 🎢 🌊

Modern theory-free AI *that cannot manage this feat* consumes *heptillions of times* more computing power.

That said, there's another case for theory-free AI: applying machine learning techniques to causal relationships we can observe but not explain.
