the sleepless night in “Rebecca” is the night the investigation into her death is concluded, Maxim is cleared of suspicion of murdering her and it is assumed she killed herself (accidentally or purposely), and then Manderley burns as that night ends.

She lost his games bechase she had to keep her lifestyle out of view and away from her home, Manderley. But she won when she threw her lifestyle in his face and he “gave” her a quick death instead of the cancerous one awaiting her. She turned his hatred of her lifestyle to her “win” in the end.

I think it's fine! I try so hard not to fill pauses with "um" or "like" that instead there are actual pauses, but I hope that's not annoying. And for once I don't think I talked too fast. 😅
